There is no gate, no drip sequence and no follow-up, because a gate in front of a spreadsheet buys a low-intent address and costs you the recommendation.

Eighteen columns covering the things nobody records and everybody needs: the discount you actually get, the rep who answers, the lead time you measured rather than the one you were quoted.

A spreadsheet is a genuinely good answer to this problem, right up until the moment you need to find something rather than record it. Sorting a supplier list is easy. Finding the chalky green sconce you saved in March, from a supplier whose name has gone, is not, and no amount of column discipline fixes it.
That is the line where saving in one click and searching by colour start to earn their keep, and where a supplier record with related saves does what column F was always failing to do. If you are not there yet, take the spreadsheet. It is better than most of what is sold.
